How to Set Up Telegram

Install Telegram from an official source, review its account settings, and then pair the channel with Zulu Assistant.

Step-by-Step Account Setup

1

Download Telegram

Choose a platform from the list above and use Telegram’s official store page or download site. Check Telegram’s current compatibility information before installing.

2

Open the App & Enter Your Phone Number

Launch Telegram, select your country, and follow the current account-creation prompts. Review Telegram’s phone-number and privacy settings after signup.

3

Verify with SMS Code

Complete the verification flow shown by Telegram. Delivery method and recovery options can vary, so use the choices presented in the app and Telegram’s official help if a code does not arrive.

4

Set Your Display Name

Enter your first name (required) and optionally a last name. You can also set a username (@yourname) which lets people find you without sharing your phone number. You can add a profile photo now or later.

5

Ready — Connect to Zulu Assistant

Telegram is set up. Now go back to the Zulu Assistant get-started page and click 'Pair Your Account' to connect your Telegram with your Zulu subscription.

Privacy Tips (Recommended)

Hide Your Phone Number

Review Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number and choose the visibility appropriate for you. Telegram controls the current options and their effect.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Two-Step Verification. Set a password that will be required in addition to the SMS code when logging in from a new device.

Set a Username

Go to Settings > Username. Setting a username (@yourname) lets people contact you without knowing your phone number. It's optional but recommended.
